It used to be we had some decent things - You could get a soundtrack, some cheap games, nothing great but at least something for your trouble. There was even a period where you could trade your points for virtual console points.
You can still buy points for the DSi eShop though! Oh, no, sorry, they're not compatible with the 3DS eShop. Please understand.
