What if my OT is 8 characters? How do you sequence negative 1?

If the Pokemon is made to seem to be caught in the wild, no trashbytes are required for the OT.

If the Pokemon appears to be hatched it does, but since your OT is the limit, the last part of the trashbytes \FFFF is put in for you. No need for any further input.

I think the OT limit is 7 in 5th gen though, if you put in 8 you're going to have weird things happen. I might be wrong with the limit though.

I figured it was too long so I changed it to 6 characters instead

The legality checker still throws up warnings at me for it. Should I even be concerned? I'm trying to make this thing get through PokeTransfer

Nah Pokebank's hack check is laughably bad. If you're worrying about trashbytes, your hacks are definitely good enough to get through.

If you want to fix that though, an easy trick I do is just type in \FFFF\0000\0000 until it doesn't let me anymore and change the last \0000 into \FFFF.

That's for hatched Pokemon though, like I said, if you made it appear to be caught in the wild, leave the trashbytes for your OT alone.

It says the ball is valid but that COULD be it. I'll have to see/make doubles

Oh a fossil mon. You can't get that in a luxury ball, but here's how to fix your error there.

Change your encounter type to Gift/N/ect.
Change Pokeball to Pokeball
Met level at 25

There isn't a gift/N setting though the one I have it on includes Event

I tried Storm Drain at first, it comes up as hacked no matter what I do. If I set it to DW, it invalidates the shininess

Count the number of characters in the OT and subtract it from 8. Take the resulting number and subtract 1. After the OT name, type the escape sequence \FFFF. Then take the number you got and type the sequence \0000 as many times as that number and end it with \FFFF

Psh, that's piss easy. I'll walk you through it.

Here's how you make a Pokemon that looks like it's from a Dream World. I'll skip the obvious stuff.

Set level to 10. Ability to it's hidden ability.

Met location: Entree Forest
Ball: Whatever you want that isn't Cherish or Apricorn
Met at level 10
Encounter:Egg/Pal Park/Event

On the OT tab:
Extra Bytes: Put a 1 in that little box. (This means it has it's hidden ability)

There you go.

So basically you have to chose between Shiny regular Pokeball regular ability Lileep, or Luxury Ball Storm Drain Lileep right? That's your call because you aren't getting both with those tutors.

You can have a shiny DW ability Lileep but it can't be directly from the DW, it has to have been bred

Because Shiny Luxury Ball Lileep is illegal in gen 5 duh.
You can only get a shiny Lileep in a Pokeball through either breeding or the Museum, both of which use a normal Pokeball.

Luxury Ball Lileep is only available through DW and can't be Shiny.

If you transfer a Luxury Ball Lileep to breed in gen 6 for a shiny, it won't have tutors.

You get either get:
A shiny one in a Pokeball with tutors
A non shiny one with HA and tutors
A shiny one in a Luxury Ball with no tutors (6th gen MM)
