The reason they don't "always win" if they're the best is because teams themselves are a lot more limiting than you casuals think. That's why so many top teams on the ladder are full of "smogon ____", because other Pokemon simply cannot perform as well. This is a fact of the game, if you want to continuing being ignorant then fine by me.
You either have fun using underrated Pokemon and not always winning or be able to always win but use generic Pokemon and not have as much fun. Simple.
