brock=rock=dead to grass
misty=water=dead to grass
lt surge= electric= NVE against grass, dead
Erika= Grass= use Acid and other poison moves and still get an easy victory
koga= poison= SE in gen 1, neutral in other games, easy to kill with leech seeds and EQ
sabrina=psychic= one of only two hard gym leaders to take out with venusaur as starter
blaine=fire= the other one thats hard to take out
giovanni= ground= dead
charizard is actually second easiest to use in the game, just has trouble with first two gyms. blastoise suffers after brock all the way until blaine + giovanni.
