So I just bought this on ebay for like 4.99 plus some shipping.

I can't really tell from the picture but it might be a fake. I'm trying to build my collection of old Pokemon toys I bought from Kanto-Hoenn era.

Also, Pokemon merch thread? I'd love to see all of your stuff you have Pokemon related, toys included.

Don't have a camera to use so using the product pic from the site. It's my favorite pokemon (has been since it was revealed) and I like coins. So it was a must-have for me.

I got a Dawn stone necklace from my boyfriend on our anniversary, since my favorite pokemon is Froslass. It's definitely the thing I value the most.

Growing up I had a good handful of Pokemon merch; bedding, plushes, figurines, those "gold"-plated tablet things, a shirt or two, trading cards. My favorites were my Lugia card (Neo-Genesis), missile-firing Groudon and Mewtwo plush. Most of its sitting in a bin somewhere, but I keep my favorite cards with me at college. And that was all my merch, until recently.

A memento-gift shop kind of place that I got to to buy and sell Yugioh/Pokemon cards used to have a tiny little bin of Pokemon-related toys. A $40 original Pokedex for example was in there for some time. One day I saw this badass motherfucker sitting in there and asked for the price. After he said $4 (clearly just made up a price on the fly) I snagged it, as Electivire is my favorite Gen IV poke. Took him home, put some batteries in there and he's been adorning my desktop for about 6 months.

I'd say I did pretty good price-wise, since it works and everything. Funny enough there was a college fair a few weeks afterwards and everything else in that bin was sold.

Pic related; got that photo off eBay though. I bought it out of packaging, and I'm not home right now to take a photo.

I always wanted that bigass Electivire and the Magmar from the same line. Unfortunately Jakks stuff, epsecially the larger figures are almost impossible to find. Haven't ever seen the Magmar surface on ebay or pkmncollectors.

I have that Mewtwo. Shown here with a few other figures I bought/got as a present over time.

It's pretty nice, though the Dark Ball is a bitch to position and hold in place since Mewtwo's fingers constantly pop out. Also Mewtwo is uncapable to stand without the base.

Other than that I've a bunch of Pokemon cards and a small Snorlax plush which I had since childhood. And that's basically it.

eBay, Sunyshore, I also visited New York a few years back and visited the Nintendo World there and bought a few pokemon plushies there. My most recent buys are the JP pokecenter Slowpoke, a Substitute doll last year when they re-entered production and I'm waiting for my Chesnaught to arrive.

If you're buying from eBay and want to avoid fakes your best bet is to only buy from auctions where they use a photo they've taken and not a stock picture.

It's been almost ten years but I still haven't bothered trying to rebuild. I had some really cool stuff like the Monopoly set and all of the gold Burger King cards. I also had some prizes from some arcade machine that I haven't been able to find anywhere at all.
Considering restarting with the D-Arts Charizard if I can get my hands on it.

It is pretty tough, but I think Nintendo is pretty sensitive about the kind of shit they license. I wouldn't be too surprised to find that there's some actual policy forbidding making figures based on human characters.

I plan on making a 3d-sculpt of a bunch of ghosts with ghost trainers, though. If I get off my ass and do it I'll show it off on /vp. Pic related; it's a rough of a thing I eventually turned into a statue.

These are the survivors of my collection. I've had ones from early G/S but as I got older and moved around a lot were lost or trashed.

Then I got two dogs.

The dogs destroyed about half of my collection, the aggron and blaziken you see here suffered the lightest injuries. I didn't have the heart to throw them away so I keep them around. The ones untouched from Hoenn are Kyogre corphish and metagross. The Hoenn ones were my favorites.

I then got some D/P ones when those games came out. Lost a good amount of those too during a move.

So fuck. I just want to build my collection back up. My oldest figure here is that 1998 Ash Ketchum figure, I used to be so lonely as a kid I'd talk to him and shit. My dad's job required us to move a lot so I had like no friends. Now that I'm in college I got all my shit sorted out and these are the last men standing.
