But, a lot of Gen I Pokémon evolve by stones, and if you pay attention, NONE of the current MEvo are from a Pokémon that reach its stage by a Elemental Stone.

Mega Gyarados but no Mega Arcanine. Both widely popular everywhere and almost at the same level.

Mega Gardevoir but no Mega Gallade. Before talking something, Gallade is pretty damn popular in Japan, not at the same level of Gardevoir, but popular anyway. Just look at pixiv or something.

No Mega Roserade, no Mega Nidoking/Queen, no Mega Starmie, no Mega Clefable or Raichu (You know, for the Pocket Monster Manga), not Mega Togekiss, altough it's doesn't need it by now.

And so on. I bet that's none of this Pokémon will get a MEvo (soon) just because they're more 'artificial' than any other type of evolution.

Didn't Sycamore say that Mega Stones are likely evolutionary stones that were bathed in the Anistar Sundial's light? So, in a way, Mega Evos are the completed form of some Pokemon, much like stone evos; it's just that the circumstances of the Mega Stones' creation makes those forms unstable.
