I stopped playing pokemon in 2009 because I just played D/P too much and slowly got sick of waiting for platinum and praying for Johto remakes. By the time I realized the Johto remakes came out, I lost my DS as I used it almost exclusively for Pokemon.
Didnt get back into Pokemon until 2013 when I could afford to just buy another system just to play pokemon.
