Sup /vp/. I'm getting bored of singles and want to try out doubles. What kind of strategies / Pokemon are prominent in doubles? What kind of mechanics should be sought after in doubles as opposed to singles?

Stat boosting moves that effect multiple Pokemon (such as Tailwind) are fine. Having a good healer is nice too. I recommend Eviolite Chansey

Make use of protect. Also, try out trick room. It works well in doubles. Stall isn't too reliable, but moves like fake out and follow me are very useful.

There's much more attention to team synergy. Got something weak to electric? Pair it up with a lightningrod Pokemon. Keep in mind the abilities that draw attacks in (like storm drain) don't work on multi target moves. Surf, discharge, eq, rock slide, heat wave, blizzard, and dazzling gleam should all be anticipated.
