Their reasoning being the system still works, regardless of power creep. Clefable was RU in Gen V when it was UU/BL throughout the years. Everyone tends to get bumped down a tier. Still, I wouldn't mind another tier or for them to expand the cut-off point. Although maybe this board will finally learn that UU Pokemon also means it can function well in OU, and it's not "shit" just because it doesn't meet the cut off point.

How is Keldeo UU material? Yes there's two new hard counter to it: Trevenant and Gourgeist but I don't think those ghosts have that many usage (they're like bottom OU)

I don't know about UU materiel but the reason it dropped was because:

1.Bye bye rain, (rain teams still work but require better team building, and more skill)
2. Talonflame
3. Azumarill
4. Shallow movepool to begin with
5.Water types, especially bulky ones, being replaced by Rotom-W (sort of what Ferro did for most grass types).

Thing is, OU is determined by a usage cutoff of 3.41%. Anything at or above that number is OU.

There could be over 100 Pokemon in OU, as it's currently defined. It's just that usage is distributed suboptimally. Hence you have a fuckload of things that are really good in OU (pretty much everything OP mentioned is A to S-tier in terms of OU viability) failing to make the cut.

And the worst part of all of this, is that there are STILL 6-12 Pokemon that are OU but really shouldn't be. Fuck Galvantula, fuck Klefki, fuck Smeargle, and fuck Donphan twice with a sledgehammer for being used ever.

Finally, OP is wrong about DeoS, ThundT, and KyuB: all of them got quickbanned from UU and are now in BL.

Outside of establishing the tier list, Smogon cannot dictate what players use on Showdown. Thus, Eeveelutions and Fire-types tend to get more use that they deserve in every tier and in every generation.

People low in the ladder are plain bad.

Doesn't require defog support on my team, because I run hyper offense. If they waste turns getting up stealth rock then I win automatically because of my high speed team.

It's a top tier wall and cleric imo. Much better than Blissey as it has foul play so you're not taunt or set up fodder and doesn't give as many free turns or switches. The wish passing capabilities aren't as high, unfortunately, and it can't slam the tran or PP stall it, but it has it's merits.

I haven't seen this complaint here, oddly enough. The reason everyone's mad about UU is because UU is going to be absurdly overcentralized with some of this shit in it.

STAB 1.5x Analytic 1.3x Hydro Pump would OHKO standard Genesect. Also thanks to Analytic Starmie can still 2HKO bulky ghosts like Jellicent and Trevenant on the switch if you predict right - despite the nerf on Thunderbolt and Ice Beam

They're kind of different pokemon. Bulky special attacker that's a fairy type, mixed wall that's a dark type.

Kyurem-B is kind of understandable given a reliance on Outrage is a strategic nightmare and all its other moves kinda suck. It's good for killing noobs but competent players can deal with it easily, and tiers are designed for competent players, even if the vast majority of players aren't that.

You know nothing about using KyuB, do you? It kills walls dead. You don't even use Outrage most of the time, something like Fusion Bolt/Ice Beam/Erf Powa/Substitute is all it takes to rain glacial death upon the entire metagame. Teravolt lets you crush Rotom-W and Mega Venusaur with ease, among other things, and you have enough bulk and speed to outlast nearly every offensive switch-in.
Never use Button unless sorry, until Black Kyurem has already mowed down everything else that could dream of stopping it.

In terms of OU viability, Kyu-B is ranked A+, which is the highest it can be without potentially breaking the game.
