I really like the Ranger games, but MD is pretty good, too. MD does get boring after a while, and it sucks that the second game locks out evos for so long. (not that you need it, but it would be cool regardless) I can see why people wouldn't be too enthused about Ranger since it's so easy, but it does get deceptively tricky. The first one throws a lot of situations that are incredibly difficult without assists. The second game is almost so simple that you won't need the assists at all. The third one is somewhere inbetween. It's still pretty easy like the second one, but the pokemon behave similarly to how they did in the first game, so it gets pretty hectic, even with the assists. Then again, in order to make it more interesting, I play the game to get all the S ranks, which is tedious at best. There are some that will cause you to rage. It's the most difficult I can make the two later ones. I still think it's fun, though.
