How come Pokémon X and Y remove the soundtrack change during the time of day? I really liked the way Platinum's music changed when it hit nighttime.

Wrong. Gold/Silver and Crystal had a nighttime variant of "Battle! (Wild Pokémon—Johto Version)". Diamond/Pearl and Platinum had various nighttime variants of themes.

X/Y ditched a lot of cool music elements. The day/night music of D/P, the changes in music when walking of B/W, the seasonal music changes (obviously) of B/W, the unique gym themes of B/W2...

I hope they bring at least a few of those back in the future. In particular, I thought the B/W2 gym themes thing was cool. I wouldn't mind if that sort of thing is "third versions" only, but I hope it's brought back somehow.

Possibly actual spoiler, so: That isn't that green haired girl Hareta traveled with, is it? I can't tell who it is somehow, but I'd hate to see such a nice Pokegirl go like that. I haven't read the manga in years and even then I only read 2 volumes of it, but it was very good.
