I had a Iron Fist Chimchar with elemental punchs and 5 IV's
Got a Machamp with 4 IVs and elemental punchs
Got a 6 IV Skarmory with Brave Bird and Whirlwind

But the more I look, the more I see a logic.

My best Wondertrade was when dookieshed was doing that dumb ass KHRP thing.
I was wonder trading and I just started getting this annoyingly steady flow of Magikarps. I had about ten before I even thought something was up. So I think to myself, "Hey, If I stick it out through the KHRPs and I just trade them back until I get something, it'll do wonders for my pokemiles."
And it definitely did. But it truly paid off when I sent back a KHRP and got back a Shiny 5 IV Jolly Intimidate Luxray. EV trained and all.

Felt shitty at first. Tried tracking down the trainer and could not. So I decided to keep it and I use the Luxray in my rated battles in honor of this lost trainer.

You just need patience bro. I would estimate that about 15% of WTs are somewhat useful. Be it pokemon with high IVs, with egg moves or both. You just need patience, I usually prepare box or two I want to WT, put movie on and trade all 60 pokemon pretty much without even looking at them and after movie is done I check what I got.

That's mostly what I use wondertrade for, breeding the good pokes then trading the offspring to make a change from all the honedges and fletchlings.

What are 'good' pokemon to put on the wondertrade, do you guys reckon? I've mostly been sticking with Feebas' and some of the starters I've been given. I wanna give good stuff but I'm not sure what really counts as 'good' these days.

This is usually the case but sometimes I get pretty exceptional trades. Received a Japanese 5IV Quiet Honedge with Shadow Sneak and Swords Dance one time which was really useful considering I'm MMing for a shiny. It's luck-based but the more you wonder trade the more likely you are to get a fair/good trade.

either someone used cheats, or someone really messed up on picking what pokeball to use

I unloaded a box full of 4-5IV jolly cottonees with encore/memento last night and this afternoon.

Got a 5IV chatot boomburst/encore/nasty plot, 5IV japanese meowstic with some egg moves, 4IV growlithe with 4 egg moves, 5 scatterbugs (all shit, but got a polar one finally), 4IV onix with heavy slam, 4IV kecleon with foul play/recover/fake out, 4IV frillish with acid armor and and around 5 more keepers.

And like 8k pokemiles, swimming in rare candies. Not a bad haul.

But I already am swimming in PP Ups from 6 level 100 pickup mons. Same with Rare candies, but I go through them a lot faster having to level up things I EV trained to unlock moves.
