Gameplay-wise, it's basically a real-time Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Everything moves at the same time, in other words. You can have up to four Pokemon in your team, and you control one at a time whenever you play. YOu can also party up with 1-3 other players, which makes grinding and battling through dungeons MUCH easier. You explore the overworld much like the main Pokemon games, looking for caves and shit to enter.
The community's iffy to me, since I don't really talk unless I'm looking for advice or giving it. Most of the people are friendly, but there's also a sort of circlejerk that you see among old members in any MMO or game. They're generally very helpful, though.
I mean, the game's free; you won't lose anything by trying it.
