It makes sense. They don't want their servers to explode again, so they decided not to release bank for Europe and America at the same time. We'll probably get it next week. It sucks to be last, but at least we won't have another blowout like on Christmas.

It's stupid in terms of a business decision if the server load works for Europe and Japan right now.

You've got the 2nd biggest Pokemon market in the world and you give it to the 3rd and 4th, all the meanwhile expecting the 2nd to just accept it when it's released, with online and trading already fucked, with the same cost, and no extra gifts.

If it happens on Thursday then it can be expected because of 3DS update schedules and all would pretty much be forgiven. If not then it's gonna be pretty fucked up and it could potentially mean either NOA being incompetent, Nintendo being incompetent, NOE's asian president pulling strings, or a combination of 2 or 3.

I've already considered maybe not spending 5 bucks on it because of all of this.

Then how in the everloving fuck can it handle Japan so well? Not to mention that the japs dont even NEED bank anymore since they literally have gotten everything they could possibly want at this point

Basically, if it came out in US/Can/Southern countries, we would have it all to ourselves and we wouldnt experience server issues.

I don't need an argument. That was my explanation of the situation as best I could determine. If you think nintendo is competent, please explain this situation with bank, and other m, and the wii u. Sometimes they fuck up and make shit choices.

The initial rush for Asian countries would be over by now. People using bank would be doing so on a much more causal basis rather than everyone mass uploading boxes all at the same time. So the server strain wouldn't quite be as strong as if we had all gotten it at the same time.

The server already exploded once. They're playing it safe. As OP stated, US/Can combined is the bigger of the two, so we're likely the test subjects at the moment.

I think that the entire situation is a demonstration of their contempt for their customers and their incompetence.
At current we can only draw our own conclusions about why they released bank for our bros and sisters across the pond before us. Nintendo just doesnt seem to want, or care, to explain anything related to the situation.
Even if I disliked their reasoning, I'd at least appreciate their communication. As it stands, I wouldn't dare use bank after its free period, if for no reason other than to deny them what little money they hope to gain on it.
I don't like spending my money at places that treat me like I dont matter to them
