The Pokemon series is like 50 first dates. You can excuse his first time learning everything, but when he clicks "empty recycle bin" on his brain at the start of season N+1 it just goes downhill. Maybe if they replaced the protagonist every time it'd be okay, but otherwise it's worthless after the first season.

All the anime is bad. The team rocket appears in almos every episode, getting their ass kicked, and they still try to steal a Pikachu. Ash always loses in the Pokémon League and never git gud. Why do people watch this crap?

I wonder how they're going to treat the "romance" subplot in XY with Serena. Depending on how it's handled (on both Ash's and Serena's side), it could either be very interesting or unbearable.

I don't understand why BW was shit to everyone. The only thing I couldn't stand was the pokemon league and the main characters (especially when they fucked up Iris with that whole OMGURSUCHAFUCKINGKID stuff and Ash being dumber than usual, although I can tolerate Cilan to an extent)

Other than that I would rank BW above AG because it was funnier and had a much better plot. I mean seriously, team rocket finally got gud for once and the plasma arc was awesome.

But hey, it's probably only opinions.

I can handle him not winning the league, but Jessie and James are the most cancerous part of the show... It's not even the fact that it's Team Rocket, it's the fact that it's been the same three members of Team Rocket in every episode.

At least Ash has different companions every season, but he needs new Antagonists too.

I half expected Jessie and James to actually jump to Magma or Aqua's side when Team Rocket Disbanded... but the thing is, that never actually happened in the anime for some reason.

They should have done something like this. Like for every new region, have ash either purposefully or inadvertently force the local team to disband, and jessie/james/meowth just keep joining the next team. Then they keep trying to take him out because he's literally ruining everything they try to do. They could have a new motto with every new team too.
