This is the first time I started breeding for natures and IVs, so even when I get bank, it won't be to transfer anything amazing.

I just want Legendary pokemon for the dex. Then I'm going to transfer one of everything to bank. After that, I won't ever have to worry about catching old mons again.

I've specifically not been breeding in XY because A: a bunch of stuff I want is only good with certain tutor moves, and I won't both, and B: It's a pain without six-IV dittos, and I'm too lazy to beg for one in the threads.

I took the time to fill the pokedex in w2 because it was SO EASY with the habitat list. They got rid of that and I'm not as eager to do it a second time. I want bank so I can transfer the spoils of my time and continue to find benefit from them. That and my shiny mightyena since emerald

You have no idea how good it feels to breed your competitive team and those moments when you win with it. Whenever you lose, it's not as frustrating.

This is why, even if the 3DS is hacked to shit, nothing beats the rewarding effort I feel when I finally get a whole team bred. The 6 IV Ditto may be a cheap way to do it, sure, but it still feels rewarding to do it that way nonetheless.

Breeding in general can be frustrating unless you find some motivation. The 6 IV Ditto actually manages to avoid some of that frustration.

Well, if your next egg will inherit that unwanted stat, it will have it no matter what you do.

Of course, the good about 5IVs breeding is that you can easily see a 6IVs when the unwanted stat is mentioned.

Enlighten me. Isn't a pentaperfect Pokemon supposed to have 5 stats with 31 IVs (or, say, one of them 0 IVs if that's what you want) and the remaining one random?

I set up 6IV males for each egg group. Didn't even take as long as I expected. It's not as hard or long as you guys seem to think, or I'm incredibly lucky.

those are the only spreads considered penta perfect.

That's why I usually go with the alphabet naming based on HABCDS (HP, Atk, Def, SpAtk, SpDef, Spd)

Only 2 or 3 letters longer, so it's a lame excuse not to.
