>>17861196The interesting this is that now, once you have a hackmon on your game file, you can NEVER wipe the slate clean, even if you delete the hackmon. Detection of a hackmon triggers a flag in the game's code that indicates you had a hackmon at some point in time, even if only for a moment.
It's unknown what the flag is used for, if anything, but it's theorized that detection of this flag can bar you from participating in any sanctioned tournaments, the idea being "once a cheater, always a cheater."
