So, I'm EV training for speed here and suddenly I come across this guy in a Seviper horde.
What should I do? I know the Seviper will attack it... is there a way to avoid losing this guy? I really like Zangoose and I really don't want to miss this

If only Ominous Wind was a multitarget move. Or you had a really low level Pokemon with an Earthquake strong enough to KO the Seviper but not strong enough to KO the Zangoose.

You don't understand, I can't throw a ball unless there's only one pokémon standing, and once the battle starts the Seviper WILL ATTACK the Zangoose.

I was going to breed a catching smeargle and sketch moves like spore and heal pulse.

I was using the Wingull/Taillow horde and the Seviper ones pop once in a while. The probability is small as fuck though, and the shiny Zangoose in a Seviper horde probability is infinitely small, even though I have the shiny charm.

OK I'll start to attack the Seviper and prey they don't KO the Zangoose

When entering horde battles, have Pokemon that...

-Are holding a Balloon and know Trick
-know Earthquake

Pass Balloon onto the Pokemon you want to spare, Earthquake the rest.

Always be prepared!

That only applies to geodudes since they magnitude each other.

That wouldn't work in this case. Turn 1 you trick on the balloon and then all the seviper attack it, pop your balloon and kill the shiny.

What you need is Dark Void.

I Ice Beam'd everything that used Wrap but they continued doing it and even though blue Zangoose made some efforts with his Quick Attacks it was useless. The last Seviper standing KO'd it with Bite.

Well guys, it was a lost cause to start with, at least I tried.
To honor the lost hero I'll MM for a shiny Zangoose to use competitively some time soon

Teach it a completely useless and ridiculous moveset.
Give it only special moves but max its attack EVs.
Force it to play competitively at least ten times per day, every day, to forever remind it of its insignificance in comparison to Zangoose.
Never let it win.

Breed a full team of them and do the same, punish them for the sins of the mother

OP, in your honor I'll get a Pokemon that can defeat a horde of Seviper while leaving the Zangoose alive. I'll find a way to beat the sheer dick move that is the shiny Zangoose in the Seviper horde.

(also all Seviper hold Persim Berries - in a neat little thing, the Seviper in a horde will actually use Swagger on each other to get +2 Attack with no drawbacks)

Anyway you do realise that it did have the egg moves but I probably just used it as a mother/father to make better babies (meaning you probably got a good iv one) and the egg moves just got wiped while in the daycare. If you still have it take it to the move relearned. If not i'd be more than happy to trade you another or even a good sableye that i bred.
