I had some old mons that Id traded for in gen V that apparently were hacked or something, they wont go through bank transfer.

I've never bothered getting into genning things, but I'm wondering if its worth figuring out how to do that well enough to get mons like meloette through bank. I don't want anything with broken stats or abilities. I'd just like to use pokemon that GF forced into scarcity for no raisin.
Is it approachable and or worth it to get into genning now?
