Anyways, I traded over friend ball Ralts and Aipom, as well as Park Ball Scythers and Pinsers . It satisfies me enough to have the balls stand out from each other, although it doesn't matter too much to me, since I'm mainly doing this to add more interest to my inventory.

Also worth mentioning if you can catch the pokemon in the wild in Gen 5 (or it is catchable in Gen 5, and you received it as a gift), you can edit gen 4 balls onto them.

I have a heavy cranidos, moon event zoroark, and level balls on all the HA deerling forms to name a few.

Why is there n in-game feature that would allow you to transfer a pokemon into a different ball yet?

That's somewhat incorrect. They do care about balls in specific cases.
- Bred pokemon will always fail
- Female starters will always fail (Need to check with an edited ball on a gift pokemon/actual starter, as you can edit gift pokemon like HA deerling to be in apricorn balls)

It's always either the PID or encounter, even when i generate the PID with the rng reporter
and Pokegen's PID generator doesn't seem to work with 5IV spreads

well the way I see it, a love ball heracross is legal in genIV, and a moxie heracross is legal in genV, and the hack check doesnt look farther than that into it. and as far as the egg move, it shown up red in pokecheck, but i think the filter has no way of knowing whether it was breed or not, and only assumes it was. It doesnt know because it was transferred over from gen 4.
