So XY came out today.

Anyone else pick anything up? I snagged the last Yveltal Elite box today at my card shop. Got fuck all for pulls except a Skarmory EX.
How long has the online TCG program thing been offline for maintenance for?

It was just less free. I like how over the top magic can get as well. I still recall when my horde of elementals was slain by a bunch of squirrels.

I like the new thing where you can get either a regular card or a full art fancy version.

Besides that though, not much has changed really about the TCG since the rotation stuff takes out all the old rules and every new set pretty much sets its own rules.

At one point there were double Pokemon you had to have both cards of and play sideways.

It sounds like you'd enjoy the later Yugioh with Synchros and XYZs then. You can pull some crazy nonsense with that fuck since most of the good XYZs are generic.

One nigga summoned left leg of Exodia, some shitty fusion cat, and saggi the dark clown, then combined them into a dragon with some of the highest attack in the game who can attack twice and reincarnate itself if it dies.

If you are willing to accept Xerneas as your lord and savior, a Fairy deck will be incredibly cheap to build in March when Xerneas EX is released as a tin promo. You just need two copies of Resilient Life theme deck and 3 Xerneas EX and you have yourself a Fairy deck that should do decently.

Can't play yet as for some reason, the new client freezes up my computer anytime it's opened. I know the Mac version hasn't really been as up to snuff as the other version but as of right now, it's unplayable. Hoping it's just a temporary thing while the servers are coming back online though.

Out of 24 packs (2 sets prerelease and Elite Trainer Box) I've pulled 2 Venusaur EX and 1 Skarmory EX, not full-art. From those I have most of my Fairy deck together.

Just need to buy some Xerneas EX and I'll be in business.

Yeah... Yu-gi-oh has a power creep more related to mechanics than to raw power itself, Magic has a somewhat noticible power creep, but that's fine considering how old it is. But Pokémon? Mechanics such as EX and their raw power in the recent years blew previous numbers through the roof.
I personally wouldn't mind a short generations of shitty cards (like Expedition, Aquapolis and Skyridge, but not with their infinite number of cards) with lower numbers in order to give the game a break from all this creep

I've been playing Darakrai/Garbodor with Evosodas and Shauna techs, it's definitely gotten better thanks that one Item card.

I've also been having a hard time finding techs for Genesect/Virizion, but Muscle Band is a needed tech for murdering Sableyes.
