It is, but $5 a year basically translates to 42 cents a month approximately. I say it that way to give a different perspective on how ridiculously cheap it is. Most other companies could easily charge $5 monthly and there would still be loads of people willing to pay.

I mean, you could also say that Bank should be free. But for what it costs, it barely even is a problem at all.

Or it could just because they were rushed by Nintendo to pump out a next gen game only a year after the previous gen, something they'd never done before during a console transition. DP were shit but Platinum kept the gen from being a disappointment.

Nigga we went over this a gorillion times when Bank was first announced last year. Needing a second DS is not free. Even if mommy bought it for your NEET ass.

Not to mention that this isn't just transferring, some people are actually going to use the cloud storage. In the past you needed a Game Cube and Pokémon Box for 3rd gen or a Wii and Pokéranch for 4th gen and 5th gen. Plus it can hold three times as many as Pokéranch. No idea how much more than Box.

$5 is a great fucking deal because you don't need to spend over a hundred dollars for another handheld/console on top of the price of your GBA/DS and that gen's game.

Besides the fact that breeding is the worst kind of grinding, it isn't even easy as fuck. You obviously haven't had to breed single gendered species with egg moves, HA or baby forms. The fact that everyone's clamoring for genned 6IV Dittos should be proof that the system is still broken.

Battling online is still inferior to Showdown in all but music and graphics. And there you don't have to spend 10 hours putting a team together.

Honestly, there's no fucking reason for anything to be other than 50/50 or 100% gender ratios. Even in 4th gen, My Pokémon Ranch was a pathetic excuse for a storage system which only supported Diamond, Pearl, and (in Japan only) Platinum. No HeartGold or SoulSilver support in any region. No withdrawing pokemon onto a different cart than deposited.

5th gen, unlike every other generation so far, has no companion storage application at all.
