your earthquaker has to already be on field and chances are if your opponent is good you are not going to see that mega luke on the field the same turn an earthquaker is on.

after it sets up mega luke can either outspeed your shit with a +2 adaptability boosted flash cannon/close combat

or a +2 adaptability boosted bullet punch/vacuum wave

tell me what can outspeed that or can survive a hit on the switch in and live the priority move.

Just be careful with moves that recoil damage, like brave bird and flare blitz. I don't think Acrobatics or Brave Bird can one shot Mega Luc even after choice band damage. Flare blitz might. But you lose priority.

Yeah, just checked, BB doesn't one-shot it, best Talonflame could do is come in after m-luke killed something and Flare Blitz, although after taking 70% CC damage, you would probably kill yourself in recoil damage too.

Put the rest of its EVs in HP and Sp.Def to ensure it can take two hits from anything.

Of course, if they just decide to SD/NP again, you're fucked. Hence only counters if the opponent doesn't know it counters.

Ok, a bunch of problem with that. 1: Qwilfish is a physical wall. Taking that away from it is making Qwilfish useless. 2: You're using a Choice Banded Qwilfish in OU with only 16 atk with Revenge. That is a complete waste of a team slot.

Really awful /vp/.

The only two Pokemon that can counter both special and physical mega lucario while rocks are still on the field are Aegislash and Assault Vest Azumarill with a specific EV spread. That's it, just two, and they both lose ~90% of their health by doing so.

Countering implies you switch into an attack, and since you're slower and since flamethrower doesn't OHKO you're going to be taking three dark pulses (or 2 if they boost on the switch.)
