Nah, it had some pretty good tracks in it. Everyone just points out the bad ones.

I feel Team Flare's music could have been a bit better, but at least Lysandre redeemed it for his battles.

I loved the Pokemon Center theme, but I can't shake off the feeling that it was a tad out of place.

For the most part I wasn't too impressed and there's too many fucking trumpets on route 7, but there were a few songs that I liked like Lysandre's theme and a few battle songs.

I think I'm one of the few who didn't particularly like the Gym Battle theme. It starts out good, because it gives you the feeling that the music is building up towards a great part, but then I really don't get that feeling of adrenaline in the music, and then the song goes back to repeat.

It's like a constant cock tease that never ends in anything.

I, personally, thought most of it was rather forgettable. Only good ones were the Gym theme (Gen 2 and its remakes still have the GOAT Gym themes), the Elite 4 theme, and maybe the Champion theme

Gym Leader themes were bleah, and lacked a quality hook and energy. Team Flare, Lysandre, E4, Diantha, more than made up for it, but they should definitely change it for the next set of games.

The music you can choose during online battles is actually great, but I wish there were more options to choose songs from older gens too.

Am I the only person who wants a reigon based on continental Asia? Particularly China and Russia.

There'd be some kind of Great Wall area dividing the two halves of the region, a Stalin-esque Steel-type gym leader, big bamboo fields on one route, a snowy, Siberian type of tundra, and the Pokemon League would look like this.

But given Japan's shaky history with both of those nations, yyyeeeeaaahhh, not gonna happen, probably.

You guys know that the selectable music for online battles is all just battle tracks heard at some point in the game, right?

That said, I do like that the option to choose a song you like is even there. I usually go with Lysandre's battle theme or the Xerneas/Yveltal/Zygarde encounter theme. So good.

first time I heard XY gym leader theme I was hyped as hell. I still like the theme and choose it every so often in online battles, along with songs 8, 9, 10, and 11 (kanto legendary, kalos legendary, elite 4, champion battle?)
Too bad I can hardly remember the gym leaders from this game or any game that isn't 1st or 2nd gen!

I loved it. The battle themes especially were way more subtle than in the past generations. It takes some time to fully appreciate, but once it sinks you won't really want to go back.

Successor Korrina Battle is the best track in the entire series in my opinion. Shame it didn't get much exposure in-game, thankfully it's selectable in the wi-fi battle mode. I pick it every time I feel like doing a rated battle run, makes battles against those crazy japanese teams 10 times more tense.
