Zapdos is pretty awesome. Articuno needs some love. and because if stelth rock and charizard megas moltres in always going to be shit unless somehow GF gives it a mega. and if it got one cuno and dos would get one as well.

Also funny how you mentioned Mega Pinsir and no Mega Charizard, believe, normal charizard is even less used now that it has a Mega, at least I've seen people running normal Pinsir...

Even Zapdos is quickly being destroyed by power creep from the two Thundurus forms and RotomW.

I think all of the Bird trio should be given Magic Guard. Articuno is a solid special wall that is undermined by Smogon Rocks. Moltres is a solid all around pivot that likes to switch a lot but is undermined by smogon rocks. Zapdos has a similar role but has the same problem of smogon rocks to a lesser degree.

Still is the Mega the one they are using, not Charizard, under your logic you shouldn't mention Mega Pinsir because it doesn't take 50% damage when entering the battle.

Articuno's problem is non-contact moves though. Being weak to Electric, Fire, and Rock, which all of their most common moves are non-contact.
Not to mention due not only to the power creep, but lack of resistances, it's too easy to one-shot or at least 2KO.

You'd practically have to give it something as bad as multiscale in order to fix it.

Yes, actually it does. Compare him to Volcarona or normal Charizard, M-Pinsir chooses when to be weak, until then it has 4 or 5 switches.
Charizard has 2 or 3 top.
Volcarona has that or not even 2 if there are spikes...

Can't knock what you're saying. I finally got around to getting a Larvesta in X and she turned out pretty great. Traded one of her siblings to a friend. At first I was kind of unsure due to that high level for evolution but the Battle Chateau and some time spent in Pokemon-Amie really helped out.

I have a theory that Zapdos will get Oblivion Wing.

The legendary birds seem to be this game's trio. Zapdos was nerfed when it lost Lightningrod for Static. It can't learn Hurricane.

I think that GF have plans for it.
