However he makes up for that with his movepool, and especially leaf blade and earth quake. Between these two and close combat, he can generally tear through most of this generation's walls without too much difficulty, and so long as you dont optimise speed he can take out a Lucario just by resisting the first attack.
Overall he has a small niche granted to him from his movepool, but if other mons were to get the same moves then he would be gone.
