People say if you already hunted alot in one safari and found nothing, you should change safaris, but few times does this work. Most friend safari shinies that don't take a long time to find are found when you are checking new safaris one by one. It is possible that within the game there is a value from 1 to 100(friend limit) that determines what safari is "lucky" and has a higher chance than others, explaining why changing safaris sometimes results in a shiny and most of the time does'nt. It also explains why checking new safaris most of the time results in a shiny. It means once you switched safaris you went into the "lucky" safari and once you fund the shiny the lucky safari changed.

If you want the obvious reasons, X can use DD to set up Stab Physical Dragon attacks, whilst Y can spam Solarbeam.

Physical Greninja's best element is surprise. Most people will predict the Ice Beam and switch into something actually more vulnerable. The difference between Special and Physical is 8BST. Fucking 8, yet most people don't see the benefits of a more diverse and unpredictable movepool.

And there aren't really any other items to use, as Life Orb (or any non-consumable item) on this set buggers up Acrobatics, yet Greninja isn't sturdy enough to use a stat-boosting berry. The element of surprise and immunity to Earthquake makes it very interesting though...
