>>17922655Using Draco Meteor, Overheat, or Leaf Storm once reduces the user's Special Attack by the same percentage as a Burn reduces Attack. And many Physical sweepers can use Swords Dance to "negate" the Burn drop. And a few Physical sweepers have the typing or abilities to ignore being Burned. The only Special attacker that could possibly ignore the stat drop from using its best STAB hasn't even been released yet.
This in addition to the fact that Special Attackers only have ONE priority move (which is only usable by like three competent Special Attackers) and have to deal with that Hidden Power bullshit for coverage more often than not, while so many Physical attackers get things like the Punches or the Fangs by default.
>>17922607Few Special Sweepers can set up as effectively as Physical ones, since Nasty Plot and Quiver Dance have shit distribution on usable Pokemon. The lower power on spammable Special moves is also a huge stumbling most of the time, as is the wanting accuracy of things like Focus Blast. Plus, more Physical attackers benefit from boosting abilities than Special ones, especially given that abilities like Tough Claws, Reckless, and Iron Fist are almost exclusively beneficial to Physical moves, not to mention Hustle, Moxie, Huge Power, Pure Power, Anger Point, Skill Link, Justified, and the best abusers of Sheer Force, Sand Force, and Mold Breaker.
