So I finally hatched my pentaperfect modest Squirtle with Dragon Pulse/Aura Sphere. I'm fairly new to the competitive scene and was hoping to build my team around Mega Blastoise. Any suggestions on another two Pokemon that would compliment Blastoise? Possibly something to check dragon types if I don't plan on keeping dragon pulse.

Sticky Web Galvantula helps a lot. And drop Dragon Pulse for Ice Beam. If you need a spinner, you should drop Aura Sphere or Dark Pulse. I recommend keeping Dark Pulse. And Water Pulse is a must for confuse hax

-Water Pulse
-Dark Pulse
-Aura Sphere

You'll get completely walled by Azumarill, but you'll have a bulky spinner able to take down many a spin-blocker without having to worry about Will-O-Wisp (like Excadrill) or Aegislash's Shadow Sneak (like Starmie).

Are we talking doubles or singles?

Megastoise tends to rock shit in Doubles better than in Singles where it tends to get pushed around and needs different team members.

This set looks great. I would like to keep Dark pulse/Aura Sphere for the great coverage. If I didn't run ice beam, would HP ice be required on Galvantula? Or would I be able to check Dragons/Grass with a third Pokemon.

HP Ice would be great on Galvantula, but it isn't necessary. My Galvantula runs Sticky Web, Thunder, Bug Buzz and Volt Switch.

If you're looking for something to go against Dragons, maybe look into Mamoswine or Cloyster? Both are pretty good. Then again, you could always use a Protean Greninja with Ice Beam.

Doubles are fun as hell.

I was getting stomped with my Blastoise until I hit the doubles. Now I demolish with Blas Electivire and Togekiss.

Blastoise in Doubles isn't complicated it's usually simply Fake Out + Water Spout and then select any two from Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, Ice Beam and Protect. Then just simply tailor your partner to work with it and cover what Blastoise doesn't.

For example maybe a Tailwind user for a speed boost who can wreck grass types. Or a Rain starter to boost Water Spouts power and wreck Charizard-Y leads, or a Lightning Rod user to draw away electric attacks.

Thing about Doubles is your sets don't have to do everything long as your partner can cover the weaknesses. It gives you so much more teambuilding room to do some creative shit.
