So Lucario gets 4x super effective against Fairies? nice. And super effective against Dragons which is alright I guess but Ghosts seem pretty redundant. Then again it would of been weak to Ghost due to being a Fighting type.

Poison is currently only good for Poison/Toxic and that's not type based super effective damage unless you're going to use something like Poison Sting (no one uses Poison Sting).

Poison needs more Super Effectives to be viable otherwise we'd be left with a huge gap in the metagame of nothing but Toxic Walls/Stallers; no offensive Poison types.

Pokemon that uses the raw life energy within them. All Pokemon (inc Humans) have a level of life energy as made apparent in the game, manga, and anime and this is called "Aura". A Pokemon is a creature evolved to their surroundings through Darwin Evolution - Adaption of species. That being said, those Pokemon have their "Aura" changed to their environment; this is why Grass type Pokemon has Grass moves or Growliths' can blow fire. They manipulate their Aura to suit their adapted bodies. Arcane type uses the Aura without any manipulation to environment. So sorta Normal/Fighting/Psychic/Ghost type fusion ie Lucario.

Could a mix of Psychic (Magic) and Dark (Evil).
I kind of would like to see a new type BUT for there really to be balance; older Pokemon need stat boosts and ability changes to keep up with the power creep. There needs to be more type diversification (Less Bug/Flying or Dragon/Flying or Water types and more unique types) and for Pokemon to get access to moves that match their lore and/or abilities/body type. And really, more learnable/egg move spreading and chains and new moves and new status ailments.

>Relic Fang, Arcane Type, 85BP 90ACC. Can cause Enervation (Sp. Atk Burn)
>Gyarados gets Crunch
>Pidgeot gets Extreme Speed

You're spot on. In the Anime, Ash gets possessed by the Aura of some ancient tyranny during the Battle Frontier Arc. However it's also used for vast good as seen in the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

Psychic however isn't Magic. It's mental psy waves.

I do agree deeply that older Pokemon needs their stats to be more modernized. I don't believe that much older Pokemon need their type's changed though.

That would be perfect, it would finally be viable for competitive use. And having a lot more weaknesses would at least make it fair and not overpowered.
