New-ish to pokemon trading/internet stuff here

I just realised you can download pretty much any pokemon you want from pokecheck/gts with any stats and IVs, and transfer them to your X/Y save.

Given that information, why would anyone bother teambuilding/breeding etc ingame? Surely it's just a massive waste of hours of your life, and your pixels aren't any better or different for the extra effort?

Its a pretty funny thought that anyone would suggest hand bred pokemon somehow make the experience more worthwhile. They don't. All that happens is you take the long way of doing something others can do in seconds.
