Not being a charizardfag here, but if you count the Mega, MChar X is the best DDer there is because 100 Speed (so at +1 you can't be revenged by Genesect) and can't be burned.
Tough claw boosted DClaw and Flare Blitz grants near perfect coverage.
The second place would be DNite/Garchomp - very close to the point of tie.
If you give enough support, DD Dnite is as dangerous as ever. Unfortunately in XY metagame, DNite is not what people would call "versatile" anymore. It's basically either DD or CB - all its other sets are not very good anymore in this metagame because of rain nerf and fairies.
Garchomp is the opposite, it doesn't really have any sweeping potential anymore but it is also very low maintenance. ScarfChomp is as good as ever, MChomp is a good mixed wallbreaker, and SD Chomp plays similarly as SD Scizor.
If you want to count it, KyuBe in OU is also a monster.
