You can theoretically make a software to extract your old mons data (iv using special for both spatk and spdef), give it a random nature or a desired one, reset the given EV (because there was no limit on gen1&2) and transport it to any game.

Even with shitty random IV, you could have 255 ev in all stats, everyone knew how to do this (beat elite four, put in box, put it out, repeat).

It was actually 65,000 + some in each, since DV's were earned by the addition of the other Pokémon's base stats ie; if you defeated a Mew you would earn 100 DV's to each of your stats. The formula for final calculation was different, though, so you didn't end up especially strong in each, just really strong overall.

Except they worked very differently and we call them Stat EXP and DV's because of it. I think they were called that officially at the time before they changed, I'm not sure.

Either way, you can look it up. I'm not wrong. I know that there were equivalents to IV's and EV's, all I've said is that they worked differently.

You can't explain why you said 65,000 in the first place. Because, every gen is the same, random iv and EV stat up to 255.

I said 65000 because it's actually 65535 and I didn't want to look up the exact number so I estimated.

It's calculated differently, so you don't end up with an unreasonable number or anything. It wouldn't make sense if it were just 255 because you earn them in GSC by the addition of the other Pokémon's BST. You'd only have to defeat two or three Pokémon total and be maxed out.

Like, the "trick" to beat the e4 a couple of times when your mons were at lv100 thn put them on a box to recalculate their stats.
That way you could have max ev in all stats. I even remember soft-reseting legends and mewtwo to have at least perfect speed iv (15).
