OK so I'm fighting in this little tourney thing on these forums I go to in a few hours and I'm probably going to get my ass kicked but maybe not with the advise of you wise sages.

Format is best 2 of 3 with 3 Pokemon per battle, but I can bring in a team of 6 to choose from, like Battle Spot. Mega Chicken, Mega Gengar, Mega Mom, and Sand Rush Excadrill are banned.

Here's what I'm working with, guide me.

Yup, Ninetales is Drought. Venusaur has chlorophyll.

I'd go with Mandibuzz, Venusaur, and Jellicent. The three cover each other's weaknesses pretty well. Especially if that's m-venusaur. If anyone has a Mawile, you might be in trouble, but that's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that would give you problems.

Ok, scarf Ninetales with flamethrower, Solar Beam, Dark Pulse and HP if it's good or hypnosis. He will be your flagship.

Chlorophyl Venusaur with Growth, Gigadrain, Sludge Bomb and HP Fire as best option, or sleep powder/par powder/poison powder otherwise.

Gliscor with Toxic, Substitute, Protect and Earthquake. May replace either substitute or Protect with Ice Shard

Houndoom for Mega and for free switch from Venusaur against fire types. Not the best mega, but Mega Venusaur wouldnt do you any favours here.

Last two pokemon are probably Jellicent for Special Wall + Support, Offensive Ferrothorn for Physical Support (Rocky Helmet) or Moxie Salamance

I like this a lot, I've actually never used them together before. One thing I should've mentioned though, no duplicate items. So if I go with this I'm going to have to choose between Jelli and Mandy for who gets leftovers and who gets something else. They have Recover and Roost though, so not having leftovers shouldn't hurt either of them too bad.

I like this too, just remember it's 3v3 so unless the other team is full of things they're scared of this strategy would most likely result in Ninetales, Venusaur, and Houndoom with everyone else benched. Not a problem though, it's actually a strategy I'm very familiar with and Houndoom always gets switched in to absorb fire and psychic moves aimed at Venusaur. Only thing is, my Ninetales is way different from what you described. Flamethrower, Will O Wisp, Sunny Day, Rest with all its investment in HP and Defense.

Okay, in that case, I'd give a lum berry to one and have the other one keep leftovers. I also completely misread you at the start and thought that you only got 3. In that case, I'd add in Machamp/Meinshao/Infernape for punching holes in things and softening up walls, Gliscor, since its recovery isn't tied to lefties and to help you deal with Mawile, and I don't really know. For the last one, maybe Mence? It doesn't really help with the Mawile problem and it's another weakness to ice. I guess Ninetales? The sun isn't too derogatory to your team if you play carefully and actually helps Venusaur if it hasn't mega'd

Eh, then run Ninetales as a bulky shield then, I generally find scarfing it and going offensive surprises people.

Sunny Day Ferrothorn might be an option too, though it isnt as good a switch into venusaur.
