You can't hoenstly say that anything to do with breeding / battling is multiplayer because Pokemon is all about battling NPC trainers if you're playing single-player...I'm honestly just not sure what everyone wanted from post game, did we really expect to have another set of Gyms, or another Elite 4 etc?
If the concern is simply "having shit to do" after the main story / quest is over, then heck, there's plenty to keep one occupied in X/Y.
Between all the changes to how much more accessible competitive breeding is, access to good mons' via friend safari, getting items you want / need for your team from Battle Maison, collecting all the Mega Stones, doing the Looker Missions and trading to complete the dex what are people really missing so bad that the statement "nothing to do post-story" gets thrown about so much...
