Why do I hardly ever see this on teams anymore? Even with truant slowing it down, with 31iv and 255ev in SpDef and Def, this thing would be unstoppable.

It is seen but all it can do is Choice Band, you could try mummyking but that can be fairly predictable.

i run it with a choice scarf and taunt return EQ and night slash, if youre obviously switching out taunt stops you from being setup fodder, and i never stay in for a truant turn anyway so choice items make sense. Its far from perfect but slaking is my favorite so i make room for him

Because of Truant. Much like how Regigigas is almost never used because of Slow Start, which is arguably an even worse ability.

If you do something like the Cofagrigus trick and change Truant to Mummy or if you have a Skill Swapper, then it's a bit more viable, but it's a bit of work to do when better options exist.

Thunderwave and confuse ray to prevent your opponent attacking too much
Then after 5th turn you start crushing their team
He can work but don't send him out first, always save for last once a few of their pokes are out

It was on PO, not showdown, so no replay.

I think Slaking would be a monster with Slow Start, because it gets Protect, so it's really only two turns.
