Ok, here's today's question:

What's the most useless mega?

in my opinion, the worst mega is easily mega houndoom. not only are its stats extremely mediocre, but its typing is still pretty shitty, and it can only use its ability in the sun. as it is, weather was nerfed this gen, and houndoom-mega's ability also hurts it.

if i want a specially-based Fire-type mega evolution, I would look at Mega-Charizard Y. It's better in pretty much every way: it has a better movepool, better stats, and the only thing that holds it back is its typing - a stone edge will kill it instantly, and stealth rocks are a problem. but otherwise, it's better than houndoom-mega in pretty much every way. at least, that's what i think.

I wish He had gotten a Dual type though regardless or new weaknesses. Like Ice/Water or Ice/Steel.

Blastoise has always served me incredibly well with what amounts to STAB aura sphere and dark pulse, dragon pulse less so, I would use it but I use him as a spinner.

I'm building a Blastoise right now.

I planned on using the moves Aura sphere, dark pulse, Water sport, Dragon Pulse, Surf and Ice beam (I switch depending on friends I double with)

What moves should I go with?

I'm also building a Gavantula to Aid Blastoise in singles. He'll use sticky web to help out with some speed and then i'll volt switch out to Blastoise when needed.

Aura sphere and dark pulse are a must.

Don't bother running surf if you're using M-Blastoise, with his mega launcher ability, water pulse becomes the same power as surf, but with a 20% chance to confuse the target.

Also why run water sport over rain dance? I'd say that the tiny extra bit that it reduces the power of fire type moves isn't worth it over rain dance, which lasts just as long and boosts water moves by 50%
