Thank god though. Your team member would be an instant liability if that was possible(unless if they have the stats and movesets to go on without an item. It would still suck though. Gardevoir with no fairy STAB until it megaevolves for instance)

Yes, but if your running a Gardevoir with Gardevoirite, its not going to run a single fairy move due to Hyper Voice taking it's place. If Knock Off worked on megastones, Gardevoir's Hyper Voice will always be a base 90 Normal type move with no STAB instead of a base 175.5 Fairy type move.

Knock Off shouldn't remove mega stones, but mega stones should still be trickable. The opponent would still be in mega form, but would still be affected by whatever item was tricked onto it.

I'm so ok with this. Not being able to trick scarves to megas is a pain.
There are plenty of matches that would've been much easier to win with a locked mega such as venu or gyarados. Specially on the Mkhan times.

You should be able to fling megastones in doubles.

handy for two reasons: fling a mega-x stone on a charizard and watch it be useless for the rest of the match.

and fling a megastone to your own mon and have a mega with an item. Scarf mawile pls.

You know, Mega Gyarados is kinda retarded, and while I don't think it's broken, I like regular Gyarados much better.
It's the flying typing man. Water Flying is so good. Shame it gets no STAB.

While M-Gyara isn't OP, it's pretty close. All the person using it needs to do is make sure that it sets up on the right thing. It gets walled to shit by Ferrothorn and a lot of other physical walls though. It's definitely not a perfect sweeper though I think it does heavily centralize the meta... there just aren't a lot of people who use it, apparently.

You shouldn't ever be switching a Mawile in on a potential attack anyways though. I can't imagine a scenario where Mawile would ever get hit by a Knock-Off prior to mega evolving.
