My first MM shiny, it only took 80 boxes. It's missing Attack and SpA, but hey, could be worse. So, how do you usually train your Aggron, /shw/? I was thinking maxed attack and defense, but I haven't decided yet.

Make sure your egg spawn rate is max (two different ID mons of the same species). Oval charm helps as well. After all that is set up, get 5 eggs, use a hatching power level three, hatch them all, then box/release and repeat.

Guys, remember that theory about friend safari i posted last weekend? The one about a 'lucky' variable which determines which safari has increased chances?

If this is the case, we know that the lucky variable does not change while inside the safari. It can change once you find a shiny, once you enter a safari or changes after a certain time period when you are outside the safari.
Another thing i've noticed is: Every shiny encounter i've had in friend safaris were the first of that species to show up. For example, I was searching for the third pokemon in a newly added safari and when it appeared, it was a shiny. The shiny floette i captured last weekend was the first floette to appear in that safari.
Most random safari shinies that did NOT require hunting were most probably found after mere minutes after changing safaris or entering new ones. So I must ask you guys: Was your random shiny from friend safari the first of it's species to appear?

Turns out the last box of Sentret I had sitting since last weekend had a shiny (with HA) hidden in it, so now I get my own shiny Furret since I gave the other one to the person that gave me the original parents!

What is this shiny frame you speak of? I thought the egg is randomly determined to be shiny when taken from the day care.

What i do is just use the path that goes along the daycare and just every 2 eggs once i get a full team of em every 2 eggs or more i hatch get dumped in the pc so that i know im getting every egg just as its produced, my last shiny hunt ended at around 355 and now im only just starting with this tauros hunt im at like 100-200 odd have not counted yet

Not overwritten, but you're colecting them as soon as possible after they are being produced.

If you do it in batches of 5, or circle Prism Tower, then you aren't collecting them at the earliest possible time they are being produced, and therefore in the long run, you'll be hatching less eggs.

The transparency fucked up because the background was white as well as some parts of aggron. Since the background was white and it became transparent, the white parts of aggron also became transparent. To avoid this, make the background a color that the sprite does not have, then make that exclusive color transparent. Only the background will be transparent now.

I tried this (with oval charm) and was hatching at (nearly) the same rate as 'collect 5 hatch 5' and also the 'collect a box hatch a box'. I also have to concentrate on the screen at all times and find it unnecessary.

Turns out I only have the French male 6IV one with HA I got from Kaitlin, would that be okay?
I used it to breed my own shiny male Meowstic, so it's only got Yawn and Assist now, I can take it to Dendemille to see if it had any other egg moves
At least you'd get eggs much faster if you breed it with your own Espurr!
Any 5IV mon with egg moves would be nice if you have one, but if not just give me anything

I was thinking... Does anyone have a 6IV male in the field egg group (not spanish)?
(Eevee, spurr, growlithe... anything in that egg group) .
I have a 6IV Jolly male Hawlucha to trade for it. I don't really care for the ability, just the foreignness and the 6IV.

so i have a question and common sense says its an okay method to use but I wanted to ask for confirmation. Scraggy has a similar shiny color to his normal colors, not the worst, but still similar. Do you think its a good method, to check the pokedex after every 4/5 eggs hatch and look for a shiny dex entry form? That would update the minute I hatch one right? So if there isn't a dex form of the shiny it means I haven't hatched one yet? I've been using it since Ive started hatching scraggy and now i'm paranoid that i've set one free without realizing it.
