Hmm, I don't think it's the haircut. I myself find the roughness of the hair to contrast nicely against the more clean and "proper" style of the rest of the outfit. Instead, I think it may be the boots that are putting you off, since they don't really match the color scheme or the style of the rest of the outfit. But as I said earlier, the boots were the better of two bad looks.

Never even llooked at that board. When it comes to the clothing I myself wear, I literally couldn't care less, so long as it is a style and color scheme that I like. And other people around me can dress however they like. The only times I start to think and care about fashion in any way, shape or form is when I'm designing a character (in a game or while drawing), and even then it's more about making it look aesthetically pleasing overall rather than about what exactly it is they are wearing.

I'm- more aesthetically minded than I'd really want to admit. Almost to the point of being shallow to most people. I just- I usually need colors to match, and if something minor is wrong with an outfit- I won't be able to focus on anything until I fix it.

I know exactly how you feel about the aesthetics fixation. I too get that almost compulsive urge to fix something that doesn't look quite right, and I often worry that people will think I'm shallow.

But seriously I think this is as good as I'll be getting for an outfit if I insist on brown. Purple shirt is more so because the undershirt has a similar shade of brown to the pants, and the badge was selected to match the shirt.

I was kind of iffy about it at first but it's grown on me. Don't really see anyone else going for something like it either so that's a nice bonus.

Yeah, the scalloped top and skirt match up well together. Unfortunately, the colors don't grade very well for anything other than the yellow top and orange skirt - I tried a similar thing with other colors and it... didn't go well. (Pink - the skirt is a much stronger color than the shirt, and the white is TOO white.) The ruffled aqua top with the aqua skinny jeans and white accessories looks kind of nice, though.
