When I was just a little kid playing Ruby I didn't really understand having JUST a team of six Pokemon. So what often happened was I would see a new Pokemon and think "Oh! That one looks cool! I'm going to add it to my team!"
The "team" ended up being Blaziken, Linoone, Beautifly, Swellow, Shiftry, Pelipper, Breloom, Exploud, Hariyama, Aggron, Machamp, Sharpedo, Camerupt, Flygon, Cacturne, Altaria, Crawdaunt, Cradily, Kecleon, Walrein, Salamence, Metagross, and every legendary I could find.
There was a lot of grinding and I was very particular about keeping them all the same level. It ended up making the playthrough take a while but I loved it.
