Compared to steel and dark type this release has a shit load of pokemon. How is it even fair to expect one gen to introduce a huge amount of one pokemon type?

They changed 22 pokemon into fairy types. It might seem far off, but I'm more excited to see what new fairy types come in future gens, instead of just changing old ones. That is boring to me.

Granbull and Slurpuff have use. Sylveon and Florges are good. Mawile and Klefki are pretty good too. The only one worth using is Xerneas because move pool and stats and it's Uber. I really with there more diverse fairy types. I kind of wanted Sylveon to be a fast mixed sweeper with Pixilate Returns/Double Edge/Giga Impact. le sigh.

I can see Flying, and maybe Water and Ground, being deemed a "disposable" like Normal. e.g. If "Sound type" was ever added, all the bat Pokemon (except Gligar/Gliscor) should lose their Flying type for Sound.

It depends on the Pokemon. The majority of Flying types aren't "masters of the element of air" or whatever. There already are a bunch of things that could pass as flying but aren't (Beedrill, Venomoth Dustox, Flygon, Volcarona, Charizard X). And a good chunk of Water and Ground types are just creatures that live in the water or underground.

So Psychic is the cosmic/interdimensional/time travel type, in addition to the obvious mind themes.
