Do battle spot, that is where the shit is at. Or seek out battles on twitch or youtube or some other hangout, if lookin for 6v6. Passerby use what ever and they tend to be beaten out by pokemon that are IV breed and EV train.

I'm not even saying there's anything wrong with using Pokemon just because they're good. But there's nothing wrong with using favorites as long as you actually try to make them work.

Or if you're trying to use some total shit like Delcatty or something, but that's just me personally. I don't mind if others try to use that type or crap.

You can't take a balanced/defensive approach in 3v3.

3v3 is hyper offensive precisely because of the fact that it's not possible to counter/check most of the relevant threats. Bulky offense is the most defensive you'll ever go.

It's a pretty bad format, I'll give you that though.

besides 3v3 being a shit format as it basically chucks team building strategies/balance/synergy out the window in favor of buttonspam, battle spot manages to take it a step further. No sleep clause, no evasion or OHKO clause. Megamon and Megagar legal. Chickinz everywhere. Minimize Clefables and Blisseys. Minimize Drifblims passing evasion to aforementioned chickinz and moms. Sheer Cold Suicunes and Guillotine Gliscors. Shit that makes the paraflinch Jirachis/Togekiss and parafusion Klefkis found on showdown seem tame. This is metagame that essentially proves to all who spend hours daily bashing smogon because 'muh elitist rules' what happens when no rules are laid down.

Except it's impossible to get consistent wins with OHKO moves or evasion, even against noobs. Those things are Smogon-banned because they remove strategy and are based around hax, not because they'll make you win more.
