Nah, R/S/E were just too special. The beautiful graphics and best soundtrack ever gave them a very unique atmosphere. IMO they also have most personality of the whole series. A remake can't even come close.

I always felt that getting an RSE remake for Gen V would be superfluous because the graphics really didn't change all that much from gen III to gen V when you consider the hardware upgrade from GBA to DS, and there's a charm to the GBA's sounds (though I could say the same thing about GSC's original 8 bit music). Gen VI I'm a bit more open to it but I'd honestly would rather have something that expands on Kalos.

I feel the same way about GSC and RBY, especially RBY. I felt FRLG's soundtrack wasn't a good reinterpretation, even though I loved RSE's soundtrack.

It's called Platinum.

That Emerald are the only two Elder God tier games of the Pokemon series. Only thing that would make Emerald perfect is if it had the physical/special split.

Play Eccentric Emerald. It has the split. Also other nice things like being able to get all Pokemon (trade evos use an item to evolve). I've found some gen 1 & 2 starters, snorlax, and eevee in the overworld while I've been playing. Just recently beat Winona.

I hope you are kidding. R/S/E has the worst style in the entire series by a mile.
The only good thing about remaking Gen 3 is that it would get rid of the horrible sprites, music and graphic in general.

Well it was polished turd. All the improvements of Platinum applied onto GSC. At least they fixed most E4 teams for rematches. I don't know why they gave Lapras to Red though: like they forgot about the type table.
