hi guys, i really need a 6iv kalos parent for MMing with eevee. i've been using a 6iv japanese ditto from gen v but smogon has discouraged me against pokebank pokemon.

does anyone have anything that can breed wish and has 6ivs? i realise i'm asking for a lot, any 6iv eevee parent is fine, but wish is useful.

ALSO does anyone know if it's the country or the language that matters? my boyfriend is american and has an american 3ds/cart, but i'm from the UK, will MM still work if he gives me a parent? or does his game have to be set to japanese?

I don't know why smogon of all things would dissuade you from using your 6iv ditto. And the only thing that matters when mming this Gen is language tags. If your games language is English than it doesn't matter if its from England or America. You need two different languages to mm properly.

Sometimes it take longer than the average of 30 boxes. There have been people on here that have gone past 100 boxes and not seen a shiny. You have nothing to lose by using your 6iv ditto, but if it makes you feel better, it won't hurt to change it either.

smogon had this thing where they were comparing results of non-kalos to kalos caught/hatched pokemon, and there SEEMED to be correlation between kalos pokemon in MM.

idk could be bs or confirmation bias though, i really just want a blue sylveon.

I love question time!

Friend-wise, basically all of them are aware of pokemon but none of them really play it. One of my friends shitposts in real life, and the only response he has to shiny hunting is suggesting that I get a Shiny Arcanine, since they're da bes.

One is indifferent to it, more into random encounter shinies he has, in his many years of playing pokemon, encountered a shiny Oddish, a Shiny Geodude (Exploded) and a Shiny Voltorb (Exploded). Poor guy

One friend can't into breeding because he gets bored too easily, tells me that I should get "a chap" to do it for me. If he wanted Shinies, he'd just get someone to gen them for him (usually me)

Another friend just nuzlockes all the time. Shinies mean nothing to him.

None of my other friends care enough to have an opinion on my obsession. So, gonna have to lock in Double Autism.

I think the average with MMing and the Shiny Charm is 30 boxes, but obviously Averages don't always give a good indicator of how much time it will actually take to do something

Yep. Supposedly having the Shiny Charm still boosts your odds when hatching eggs, but the info there is sketchy.

Just remember, it does all come down to luck and RNG. Just because the average is 30, doesn't mean you wont get it in your very next box, or all the way until your 70th box.

It probably does something when MMing though. I understand that the only language that specifically calls out "in the wild" on the shiny charm is English, and it increased the chance when MMing in Gen V
