Mike and his team were currently holed up in the Sootopolis Pokemon Center, having cleared it out and taken it back from the enemy soldiers. Right now, the team was trying to rest up from the brutal battles they'd been in. The Black Mage's help had been invaluable so far; indeed, without it Mike would probably be dead. Not that he didn't feel that way sometimes, but... Well, maybe it would all be over soon, one way or another.

Mike could barely see though the windows, it seemed that between barely cleaning them and the smoke in the air everything almost seemed to appear as if through a haze... though from what he did see was pretty obviously troubling... they were burning most of the camp to the ground. The Bisharp rammed headfirst into the Aggron's chest, knocking the steel beast back into the second floor lobby and causing it to drop its large axe in surprise. The two attacks smashed into the Dark steel type the thing flying backwards into the union room with a crash into the boxes. A second popped out behind him though this one lashing out with a poison Jab on the grass type... whatever was inside was in no shape to step out though, one last thing lurking as the other locked door suddenly powered up.

Mira had been able to just barely dodge the enemy's flailing fist, its speed enough to fly under and prepare for another Psychic attack. The trainer wasn't nearly so lucky; just as he'd sent out his Pokemon, he'd gotten caught right in the ribs with a Brick Break. They weren't bricks, but it hurt like hell all the same; a couple of those ribs might even be cracked. Mike was on his knees now, trying to catch his breath. If Mira lost, there was no telling how much pain he was in for... or even if he could survive the fight.

There was backup on the way, though he didn't know it just yet. Whatever it was, it better hurry up...

Now a proper entry...
Of course the little girl and Audino duo were busy snooping around at the time... wandering, maybe. Ellie was probably getting into trouble while her Audino Audrey followed, exasperated at her inability to keep one little girl from getting into trouble. At least she wasn't going anywhere she had been explicitly prohibited from entering.

So now of course they come across the battlefield, between a stranger and their claimed enemies. So, 'who to side with' was the question on the eight year old's mind. Through some form of logic, she decided that siding with the grunts would gain her respect, or at least get her kicked out less often.

Ellie ran up to the nearest Rocket Grunt, no longer seeing them as any sort of a threat.

"I can help! I can be backup! I'm almost part of Team Rocket, my best friends are important people." she nodded to herself.

Ellie pulled out a Pokeball and held it up, pointing it in the direction of Izzy.

With speed exceptionally good for a fat bunny made of buoyant lard the Azumarill tagged it's partner and jumped off of a well placed hand, heading for the Dusknoir in a veil of water. The canine on the other hand focused an aura sphere square on the pink blob and charged up it's energy. Not taking more than 3 seconds it shot a blue sphere of energy towards the opposing Audino.

The two psychic attacks went wide, the walll behind the pokemon crumpling like paper... the two pokemon just taking it in stride as they attempted to aid their master, the Granbull rushing at the psychic to deliver another bite.

Of the two soldiers, one attempted to deliver another strike with his weapon while the other tossed his knife in the direction of Mike's team before going to his side.

The fire fang was enough to send the thing down and back... the soldier behind the counter, not even bothering to move as it did.
Of the three soldiers atop the mage, one was thrown off by the sudden charge of the Aggron, the soldier not even recoiling as the Axe bisected the person horizontally, the body falling with a thud on the floor with a wet thud, the formerly intact soldier, still moving... of the two atop the mage, one attempted to slam it's weight on him while the downed one attempted to grab the Aggron's leg despite the damage.

Deciding to ignore the halfman clutching to its leg, the Aggron attempted to headbutt the remaining german off of its trainer. The Arbok was smacked back as it lashed out, but only struck forth again with more enthusiasm now that it had been attacked directly. Mage was knocked out at this point.

The iron head was enough to knock the body off of the mage, the thing hitting the ground with a smack before struggling to stand again and lunge back at it. The other crippled one was slowly losing power with each second, it's grip weakening as it did so. The Arbok's own attack would hit home, the dirtied clothing smoldering a bit from the flame as it tacked the snake.

A lucky break by the enemy soldiers had left an opening to exploit. Both of Mike's psychics opened up for one more attack, while the trainer went for his own knife to attempt to slash at the soldier, going to disarm the enemy instead of simply stabbing him. Not exactly sound strategy, but to be fair, Mike was pretty much flailing at this point. [The Pokemon are both using Psychic.]

Before the soldier knocked aside could get back in the fight, Mage's Aggron sidestepped it and took a swing of the axe in an attempt at decapitating the apparent zombie. His Arbok swerved out of the way of its own attacker and launched a bone-shattering bite at the back of the cursed soldier's neck.

The slice struck true, the thing's head coming loose limply as it made on last ramming strike onto the other pokemon before collapsing to the ground.

The second one was torn into by the Arbok, it's strength weakening with the damage as the crunch dug deep into it.

Swerving around to the front of its flailing opponent, the Arbok spat a blast of swirling fire in its face. The last ditch attack by the decapitated soldier bounced off of the Aggron's armored hide. The Pokemon sorted through Mage's gear, grabbing a healing herb to get the wizard back on his feet. Mage shot up into a sitting position, coughing and spitting out bits of the bitter medicine. "Ugh. The psychic attacks would go wide again, the targets redoubling their efforts. The rifled guard switching targets as the Dog pokemon attacked the star with another bite, the guard going towards Paula now.

The armed guard took advantage of the fact of Mike being downed to open fire on the newcomers again, the man clearly snapping under the pressure as he began laughing.

Both of Mike's Pokemon were exhausted at this point, and the soldiers' latest attacks were enough to bring them down. The trainer himself was the only one still on his feet, and he didn't know if he could recover fast enough to send out anyone else before the soldiers turned on him. [Evens he's fast enough, in which case he'll pick Goku, his Infernape; odds, he's too slow and the guards get to swarm him.]

The other two quickly spotted the mage's team going after the last two, the other two guys already hearing the sound from the second room, the two men taking position on either side of it as they prepped the grenades.

The rifle using soldier turned to face Mike as soon as the pokemon went down, the man quickly working to take aim at the trainer now that he was down, that is until the Crunch attack smashed down into his arm, sending the shot wide into the ceiling as he turned to fight the thing off despite the massive chunk taken off of him.

The Granbull recoiled from the attack, sliding backwards from the impact as it stumbled to stay alive before attacking back with another Bite.
