Everyone keeps raving about Calm Mind + Moonblast on Sylveon.

How has nobody brought up using Calm Mind + Hyper Beam?
Sylveon's hidden ability is Pixilate, thus adding STAB and wrecking the shit out of everything.

Throw EVs into HP and SPATK, leftovers, bam. You got a cute four legged tank shooting fairy beams of death.

Because you're left completely vulnerable for one turn. Scizor could safely switch in (who's to say it couldn't just switch in whenever it wanted) and use Bullet Punch next turn

You don't have to every time, obviously a Moonblast can do the job on a lot of mons, but sometimes you need that extra dmg to win. BAM, Pixilated Hyper Beam.

I'm just saying that using Hyper Beam is a bit of a gamble. I guess if you can afford to be open to anything for a turn then go for it. With Leftovers and investment in HP/Defenses you'll probably be fine

Pixilate boosts the power of moves along with changing their type. Hyper Voice barely edges out Moonblast in power, and can also break through subs.

Anything that could kill Sylveon is a physical attacker, but a Calm Mind with Leftovers? It can survive a lot of special attack abuse.

Know what'd be cool? Skill Swaping Pixilate to Carbink and then it uses Explosion.

Shit would do 585 if it was holding a Pixie Plate, 731 if Fairy Gem is ever released.

No. Because there hasn't been a legitimate way to catch Sheer Force Totodile / Croconaw yet.

There's a difference between "legal" and "legitimate" Pokemon.

Legitimate Pokemon are ones caught within the game and as such are always legal because they can't have any moves / stats that they shouldn't in the first place.

However not all legal Pokemon are legitimate. Presuming you're using Pokegen etc without trying to make Broken Pokemon you can create Pokemon identical to ones you would breed / catch in the wild.

As long as it IS POSSIBLE to have a Pokemon with an Attack / Ability, it's possible to Pokegen it and have it passed as legal within Wifi battles etc.

This is especially useful for Genning Event mons and Legendaries that simply don't get released in certain parts of the world, or Genning a mon' that's got perfect IVs because it's a huge time-saver with regards to the usual breeding process.

That's not entirely true. For a trivial example, a legitimate mewtwo is not legal in battle spot, nor is it legal in OU. Each metagame has it's own rules and banlists, and just because something is legitimate does not guarantee it is legal in all settings.
