Subscribers
Subscribers do not get to bypass the slow mode restrictions on chat. The reason for this is because unlike most Twitch streams the chat is an critical component of the content. I think it's best if everyone has the same capacity of input.
I've previously considered enabling sub-only mode for short moments to overcome difficult sections but I've cooled off on that idea and doubt I will consider it again.
Please don't subscribe with the expectation of special treatment. Please subscribe with the expectation of supporting something you like.
I don't want to add emotes because that would give favoritism to particular memes, hindering the growth of new memes and causing stagnation.
Advertising
While I have the ability to run advertisements I have made the decision to not show any during gameplay, I think it's frustrating enough without interruptions, I also don't want to give subscribers an unfair advantage.
IRC
Twitch Plays Pokemon's chat is hosted on Twitch's event chat server, in order to connect to the chat via IRC you must connect to 199.9.252.26 instead of
irc.twitch.tv.
Start button throttle
Spammers pushed this button too much and now it doesn't work all the time. Sometimes it pops back in and works perfectly for awhile.

Now doesn't mention the "experiment." Also sounds like Start throttling is back in.
Also changed the movement. It's super slow and I don't really like it. Going to be even worse with the delay. Hopefully he scraps it and changes back.
