I have to say I am not a big fan of showdown. It looks terrible, there are only, like, five different animations, and I don't feel the attachment to the 'Mons in the simulator that I just pick out compared to the ones I hand-trained in-game.
But that isn't the cancer killing pokemon.
Because it's the fuckers who use it religiously, smogon, that is the cancer killing pokemon. Saying, not that I shouldn't win using 'Mons I like, but that I should only use "Mons which can win, regardless of how I like them. They are all cookie-cutter, maybe one 'Mon out of the norm every once in a while, but all deviation is looked down upon. Because if they like a Pokemon, it is good, and if they dislike a pokemon, it is bad. Regardless of actual stats, because god knows Donphan and entry hazards deserve the use they get.
For them, Pokemon, a game, is not about fun; it is about winning. Well, guess what. When someone wins, someone else loses. And how do you think it feels to be the loser?
tl;dr: Fuck smogon. Someone hack their site and fill it with porn. It's no less than those fun-killers deserve.
