>>18140410For the people that did throw a fit, yes, of course it is immature behavior. We both agree to that.
The way I see it, however, is not all of them. There are people that simply got annoyed at something they liked, that changed, and went on to arguing about it with others who shared the opposing opinion. This is not immature behavior, but simply human behavior in general.
While I can see why you think that everyone who was part of the stream threw a tantrum over it, that simply isn't true. It's unfair generalization.
People arguing over anything that changes is inevitable, after all. If tomorrow GF announced a new Pokemon game that changes several features that defined the franchise, would you really say you're surprised about it? This same thing can be extrapolated to pretty much anything. If you like computers and suddenly your favorite manufacturer starts making decisions that you disagree with, you will complain.
Throwing a tantrum is, as you said, immature behavior. But the problem is, this is seeing the vocal side minority and instantly attributing it to everyone else. Or, seeing a natural 4chan argument (which, as we know, is bound to include more Caps Lock, condescension, and cussing than usual), and instantly thinking it is a tantrum. It is not.
